Microsoft's Reader app gets an update, Nokia Refocus now supports all Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices

Microsoft has rolled out an update to the Reader app for Windows 8.1, for those of you who utilize the PDF reader app. “Use Reader to open PDF, XPS, and TIFF files. Reader makes it easy to view documents, search for words or phrases, take notes, fill in forms, and print or share files,” the app description reads.

The update to the Reader app adds improved reliability and addresses data loss issues. No other details were given about the update.

Nokia Refocus, on the other hand, lets you take a photo first and later adjust the focal point. “Nokia Refocus lets you take a photo first and choose what you want in focus later. It’s perfect when you’re shooting close-ups of your subject because it allows you to show depth in your photos, and then change focal point if you want. You can also add great effects like ‘All in Focus’ and ‘Color Pop’,” the app description reads.

The app was recently bumped to version 1.1.3.1, adding support for all Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices, having previously been exclusive to devices with PureView cameras. The update also adds improved focus.
