Microsoft's Phil Spencer to talk about gaming in Windows at the company's January event

Microsoft has scheduled an event on January 21st where the company is expected to talk more about Windows 10. A rumor has it that Microsoft will talk about Windows 10 on tablets and smartphones, as well as the launch of the Consumer Preview for the operating system.

Microsoft’s Head of Xbox Phil Spencer will also be at the event. The general perception is that he may talk about the Xbox One, and how Windows 10 will work on the console. In a recent question by a user who asked if some sort of footage of Windows 10 on Xbox One will be shown at the event, Spencer confirmed that he will be talking at the event on January 21st, but he won’t focus on the Xbox One, rather it will be about gaming on Windows, and what the company plans to do with Windows 10.

Spencer said, “I’ll be focusing more on what we are doing on Win10 in January, it’s time for us to talk about gaming on Windows.”

There’s no word of what the company will talk about when it comes to gaming on Windows, but it would be interesting to see what the software giant has in store. Microsoft may also touch on Xbox gaming, but focus more on what Windows 10 will offer gamers.
