Microsoft’s new Surface Pen now available for pre-order

Several hours have passed since the Microsoft Windows 10 devices event in New York City and still the news keeps coming. At the event, Microsoft unveiled the Surface Pro 4 and stated that it would be available for pre-order immediately, but dates for the new Surface Type Covers and Surface Pen weren’t mentioned. However, now we have learned that both the Surface Type Covers and the Surface Pen are available to pre-order right now.

This latest iteration of the Surface Pen has been improved greatly because it now offers 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity and has a reduced latency which should impress the artists out there. The pen now enables quick access to Cortana by holding down the button at the top. That button also acts like an eraser when the pen is turned upside down. Don’t forget that Microsoft now owns this pen technology because they acquired it from N-trig.

While it’s unclear if this new pen will work with older Surface devices these improvements are certainly worth the price; $59.99. The new Surface Pen will ship by Oct. 26 and can be pre-ordered via the link below.
