Halo Spartan Assault

Microsoft recently released Halo Spartan Assault for Windows 8, Windows RT, and Windows Phone 8. Microsoft is looking to capitalize on the touch screen phenomenon with this Halo game title. Today, Microsoft has rolled out an update to the app, offering bug fixes and performance improvements.

“Halo: Spartan Assault brings the excitement of Halo combat to touch-based devices for the very first time. Battle your way through 25 action-packed missions against the Covenant as you explore the origin of the Spartan Ops program and Halo 4’s Spartan Commander, Sarah Palmer. Earn Xbox achievements, complete mission and weekly challenges, unlock new customizations for your Halo 4 career, and compete against your friends for the top scores in the leaderboards,” the app description reads.

For those of you who have the app installed, you will or might already have noticed an update available for the app. Microsoft has not disclosed exactly what is new in this update, but we imagine Microsoft has squashed a few bugs and improved performance. Hit the download link below to snag the updated app if you have yet to install it.
