Microsoft is offering Sonic Mania for free when you purchase select movies in the Microsoft Store. The Gamer Flicks Sale puts the spotlight on movies inspired by video games, including Assassin’s Creed, Doom, Mortal Kombat, and more. The full Microsoft Store movie list is available here.

The Gamer Flicks Sale ends on June 15, 2020, and is valid only for movies offered in the sale that are purchased digitally via the Microsoft Store. Movie rentals are not eligible for this offer. Once you purchase a movie included in this sale, you will get a Sonic Mania digital redemption code sent to your Xbox Live account within 2 weeks of purchase.

Sonic Mania is a 2017 revival of the classic Sonic the Hedgehog games released for Xbox One, Windows 10, and Nintendo Switch. The Gamer Flicks Sale includes huge price cuts on movies such as the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie, Detective Pikachu, Need for Speed, and Rampage, among others. If you are more interested in scoring the free copy of Sonic Mania on Xbox One, you can buy Warcraft that is available now for the lowest price of $4.99. However, you might be better off buying a movie you might actually want to watch.

While this offer is only valid in the US, there is a similar Gamer Flicks Sale being offered in the Microsoft Store in Australia that offers special deals on movies not included in the US sale, including Joker.

What movies will you buy in the Gamer Flicks Sale? Let us know in the comments.
