Microsoft's Fresh Paint app for Windows Phone 8 receives new update

Microsoft launched the Fresh Paint app for Windows Phone 8, alongside its counterpart on Windows 8, late last year. Microsoft has been working hard to deliver the highest quality, most realistic painting and drawing experience possible with the Fresh Paint app. Today, Microsoft has rolled out a minor update to the app.

“Fresh Paint is a fun and easy to use painting app. Create original artwork or turn photos into beautiful paintings automatically. From whimsical pictures of your friends to amazing landscapes, Fresh Paint enables you to create anything,” the app description reads.

The app, which was bumped to version 2.0.4057.1, currently has no updated change log and displays the old change log from the previous update. In the previous update, Microsoft added a new pencil mode, a new Inspire Me option, new photo filters, revamped user interface, and more. The Windows Phone 8 app is now much more consistent with its Windows 8 counterpart. Microsoft also recently added a “Save To” icon that lets you save drawings to SkyDrive and subsequently finish your project on your Windows 8 PC.

We are likely to see bug fixes and performance improvements in this new version. Hit the download link below to snag the updated app, and let us know if you notice any new improvements!
