Microsoft's doorbuster Dell Venue 8 Pro for $99 sold out within minutes

As part of Microsoft’s 12 Days of Deals promotion, the devices and services giant is offering killer deals on various software and devices every day. The 12 Days of Deals kicked off December 9th with a killer deal on the Dell Venue 8 Pro at Microsoft online and brick and mortar stores.

Today marked the first day of the promotion with the Dell Venue 8 Pro for $99 for the first one hundred customers to order the device on the online Microsoft Store –  $199 for those thereafter. Within minutes, the Microsoft Store was sold out of the tablet device – proving that there are still people interested in Windows 8.1 as long as the price is right.

The 8-inch Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet runs Windows 8.1 and comes with Office Home and Student 2013. The device also offers 32GB of storage space and 2GB of RAM.

This tablet is just the first of twelve total deals Microsoft plans on offering in the spirit of the holidays. With this tablet selling out within minutes, Microsoft got what they wanted. Microsoft had people searching the internet for the 12 Days of Deals promotion, as evident by the enormous traffic we received, and had eager customers purchasing the first deal and placing it out of stock within minutes.

Lets see how the next few deals will fare. Are you planning on pulling the trigger on any of these deals?
