Microsoft's Channel 9 releases iOS app

Microsoft furthered its push to get more of its ecosystem’s apps and services on iOS devices, targeting not just consumers but also developers with the release of a Channel 9 iOS app.

The Channel 9 app was announced on Channel 9’s twitter account with a link to download it in the iTunes store.

The app will provide a way for iOS users to browse the Microsoft community site for the latest podcasts, screencasts, discussions, and interviews with Microsoft on a variety of developer and consumer subjects.

Microsoft has been making a great deal of efforts to woo Android and iOS developers to the upcoming Windows 10 platform that will offer universal apps that work across a range of devices from phones, to tablets, to PCs, to Xbox Ones. At the //Build/ 2015 conference, Microsoft unveiled new tools for developers to port iOS and Android apps to Windows 10 and yesterday WinBeta reported on their purchase of multiple web domains that are variants of the phrase Microsoft loves Apple/iOS developers.

If you have an iPhone or iPad and want to get the latest developer and consumer topics directly from the Microsoft community at Channel 9, head over to the iTunes for the free app.
