Microsoft proudly announced today that its entertainment and gaming console, Xbox 360, is still the number one console in the United States for an impressive 16th consecutive month. The company also revealed several stats regarding the console for the month of April.

“Xbox 360 continues to hold the number one spot in the U.S., selling more units in April than any other console. This marks the 16th consecutive month that XBox 360 has been the best-selling console in the U.S,” Microsoft adds. On top of that, the Xbox 360 holds a 47% market share of current generation console sales and has sold 236,000 consoles in the month of April. Total retail spending of the Xbox 360, which includes hardware, software, and accessories, totaled $261 million and beat out every other console. Kinect Star Wars was also the number one game for the Xbox 360 for the month of April.
