Microsoft Viva Goals

Microsoft Viva is getting a new module. Building on Microsoft’s 2021 acquisition of Ally.io, a leader in the objectives and key results (OKR) industry, Microsoft just introduced Viva Goals.

This new Viva module comes at a time when Microsoft finds that over half of managers feel leadership at their company is out of touch with employee expectations. Viva Goals aims to fix that. It brings purpose and alignment to Viva customers, alongside culture and communications, wellbeing and engagement, growth and development, as well as knowledge and expertise.

Viva Goals is now in a private preview and it aligns teams to an organization’s strategic priorities and unites them around the mission and purpose. Here’s a little more on what Viva Goals can do, according to Vetri Vellore, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Viva Goals:

Viva Goals brings business goals into the flow of everyday work, making it easier to stay up to date with connected data and automated reminders as well as to share OKRs and their progress across the organization with customized dashboards and quick links. It integrates with Microsoft Teams, Azure DevOps, etc.—and has more integrations to come with Microsoft Viva, Power BI, and other Microsoft 365 apps and services.

Heading into the future, Viva Goals will be included with the current Microsoft Viva suite subscription when it hits general availability later this year. More information about Viva Goals is available over on the product website.
