Microsoft updates PowerPoint for iOS, allows users to control presentations from Apple Watch

Microsoft has been moving quickly to support for Apple Watch, releasing an update for OneDrive for iOS, giving users the ability to view and manage photos stored on the cloud storage service. Now, the company has released an update to one of its productivity apps, PowerPoint, which comes with support for the wearable device from the Cupertino company.

Apple Watch owners will be able to control presentations from their wrists. Users will be able to navigate between slides using the Apple Watch, and even “see the elapsed time, the current slide number and total number of slides.”

Unfortunately, the functionality is only limited to iOS at the moment — Microsoft so far isn’t offering this new feature for PC and Mac, as they do with the Office Remote apps for Android and Windows Phone, but thinking on the positive side, let’s hope that the company provides Apple Watch owners the ability to manage their presentations on a PC as well.
