Microsoft updates Outlook Groups on iOS with improved accessibility and performance

Less than 6 months ago, Microsoft launched the cross-platform mobile app Outlook Groups which aims to improve communication in the workplace. The app works with Office 365 Business or School accounts, and it allows users to have group conversations, access the group’s SharePoint files, OneNote notebooks and group calendar, and you can even use Twitter-style mentions to alert your teammates.

While the Windows Phone version has been well supported by Microsoft, the iOS app was updated yesterday and here is what’s new in version 1.7.6:

  • Message attachments download and render faster
  • Accessibility is very important to us. We’re glad to say we’ve made various improvements to the VoiceOver experience
  • Logging in is now more reliable
  • Many bug fixes

Outlook Groups is one of Microsoft’s many services available across iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. There have been a handful of new additions to the Microsoft family of apps over the last year. Tell us in the comments if you use this app with your Office 365 subscription and which other Microsoft apps or services you use.
