Microsoft updates Bing Maps in preparation for the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl XLIX is set for February 1st, and millions of people will be watching the New England Patriots go head-to-head with the Seattle Seahawks. It doesn’t get much bigger than this, except for those who will be attending the game at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona.

Microsoft has updated Bing with new features to make navigating around the stadium as comfortable and as convenient as possible for those attending in what will certainly be a very busy and hectic day. The new indoor map of the stadium, for instance, displays the location of all the seats to help those attending find their places. Microsoft has also added updates StreetSide images from around the stadium so attendees won’t end up looking at outdated scenes.

For a complete view of the scene, Microsoft has also updated the birds-eye view of the stadium taken from the Met Life blimp that will be circling over the event; this also includes new 2D imagery of the area.

Those are the updates to Bing made in preparation for the Super Bowl, and more should come from Microsoft during the event as the software giant will reportedly be running some new ads, which is another great aspect of the game.
