If you’re looking to learn more about developing Windows apps, Microsoft has just announced a free Windows Desktop Developer Workshop that will be live-streamed on Twitch on March 14. The event will kick off at 8AM PST with a session about Windows Developer XAML Tooling for WPF & UWP, and the other sessions will cover the following three themes:

  • Productivity: Productivity for existing developers focused on Visual Studio XAML tooling and design pattern framework libraries
  • Desktop Apps of Tomorrow: Looking forward to how you can get started exploring the latest technology for your desktop application such as .NET Core 3, XAML Islands, MSIX and Windows 10 APIs
  • Extending Your Skills: Reusing skills with Xamarin.Forms for mobile apps and DevOps for desktop applications

All sessions will allow some interactivity through Twitch chat, and in case you can’t make it for the event the full workshop should be uploaded on the Visual Studio YouTube Channel later this month.
