On November 10, Microsoft will launch its next-gen Xbox Series X|S in all Xbox markets, and the company is planning to celebrate with a global livestream. The festivities will kick off at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, and there will be various gaming sessions with the Xbox team, creators, and partners around the world.

“Think of our livestream celebration as a companion to your gaming plans for the day. We’ll host “Let’s Play” segments with the creators, showcase special launch highlights from around the globe and harness the power of gaming to raise vital funds for great causes. This will be a moment of play, not press releases, as next generation consoles begin to land in the hands of players around the world,” wrote Xbox head Phil Spencer.

This global livestream will air on on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Gaming. It will be interesting to see what Sony is planning for the launch of the PlayStation 5, which will be released two days later on November 12 in seven markets including the US, Australia, and Canada, with more markets to follow on November 19. Both Sony and Microsoft have seen record-breaking pre-orders for their next-gen consoles, and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly contributed to make the launch of the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 pretty special.
