Microsoft teases Xbox One game announcement coming later today

The Xbox One has been on the market for a couple of months now and gamers are getting anxious for new titles to play. While we are aware of some that are on the way, today it seems we’ll be learning of one more.

Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft Studios, posted a tweet stating “personally going to be a good day tomorrow, looking forward to a games announce coming early in the morning, fun part of the job”. That on its own is rather cryptic, but it can be pieced together with another separate tweet to perhaps get a bit of an idea.

Scottish game studio Ruffian tweeted that “feels like a good day for announcements doesn’t it?” That combined with a Crackdown appearance on the screen during the Xbox One reveal event leads to speculation about what is coming.

It is, however, just that – speculation. Thankfully, this time around, the guessing game will be short lived, as we’ll be finding out before the sun sets on this day.

Update: Microsoft announced the acquisition of the ‘Gears of War’ franchise from Epic Games. Was this the big announcement scheduled for today? We’ll have to wait and see what else happens.
