Microsoft takes you behind the design of the new Xbox One (video) – onmsft.com

Microsoft has posted a new video today taking you behind the scenes of the Xbox One design. The video, six minutes in length, shows you Microsoft’s goal with the new Xbox One and how it involves a console, Kinect, and a new controller.

“The design journey began looking at the past. So we looked at the original Xbox, we looked at the 360, and we asked ourselves, what is it that we want the expression of the Xbox One to be about,” Microsoft’s Carl Ledbetter stated during the video.

Microsoft highlights the design behind the new Xbox and why the software giant opted to go with the design we all saw during the Xbox Reveal event. Microsoft wanted this new Xbox console design to be elegant in appearance, featuring a color called “liquid black.” Grab a cup of coffee and check out the video below.
