Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella dropped a hint at the Future Unleashed Conference in India that the Surface Pro 4 will launch in India some time in January 2016. Unfortunately, he didn’t reveal the exact availability date for the tablet nor its price tag.
According to a new report, it seems Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 tablet will cost slightly higher than what it costs in the United States. The rumor suggest the tablet will start at INR 67,999 (almost $1025) for the Intel Core M3 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The report claims the prices below are 99 percent confirmed, but may change at the time of launch slightly due to USD to INR currency rates.
Here are the complete pricing details for other models as well:

  • Surface Pro 4 128GB/Intel Core i5/4GB of RAM: Rs. 76,999
  • Surface Pro 4 256GB /Intel Core i5/8GB of RAM: Rs. 95,999
  • Surface Pro 4 256GB/Intel Core i7/8GB of RAM: Rs. 118,499
  • Surface Pro 4 256GB/Intel Core i7/16GB of RAM: 132,999

These prices aren’t confirmed at the moment by Microsoft India so take it as a rumor. We’ll update you as soon as the company releases official details about the availability and pricing of the Surface Pro 4 in India.
As a quick recap, the Surface Pro 4 ships with a 12.3-inch PixelSense display boasting a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels and Windows 10 Pro as its operating system. The processing comes from Intel 6th generation processors up to Core i7, up to 16GB of RAM, 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear camera for photos and videos. The tablet is also touted to offer 9 hours of video playback, but take note that real world usage may vary depending on the type of work you’re doing on it.
