If you were planning on purchasing a Surface RT or Surface Pro with a Touch cover any time soon, you might want to wait until August 30th. According to a new report from WPCentral, Microsoft has dropped the price of the Surface Touch Cover to $79 effective August 30th.

“If you have a Surface RT or Surface Pro and were thinking of picking up one of the colorful Touch Covers, you may want to hold off for eight more days. It has been revealed to Windows Phone Central that Microsoft is planning to drop the price on the accessory from the regular $119 to a more reasonable $79.99,” the report states.

No word yet if the Type Cover will see the same fate, but it would make sense that eventually we will see a price drop. Head over to your local Microsoft Store starting August 30th and snag a Touch cover for $79 while supplies last!

Recently, we learned that after dropping the price of the Surface RT by $150, sales of the Microsoft’s Surface RT have actually improved quite a bit since the price drop. Microsoft recently dropped the price on its Surface RT by $150. This meant the Surface RT 32GB would run for $349.99 while the Surface RT 64GB would run for $449.99.
