Microsoft Store app for Windows Phone

Microsoft has recently updated the official Microsoft Store app for Windows Phone, bumping the version number to v2.02 and adding support for specialty stores and other minor bug fixes. But on top of the update, Microsoft is now allowing you to win prizes via the app!

THe app features a purple tile that says “Win with Windows Phone.” Clicking this tile will take you to Internet Explorer to partake in a contest. As WPCentral reports, you will have to sign up via Facebook or by entering your contact information. Once that is done, you will get a chance to “spin” a wheel to win a prize. Just follow the onscreen prompts.

It appears that this is a US-only feature for the app. As for the prizes, we don’t know exactly what the prizes consist of, but people have been reporting winning items such as Microsoft points, Halo Reach, Kinect Sports for the Xbox 360, and more. Update the app or download it below and try your luck! Let us know what you win!
