Microsoft shows off 'Connected Car' concept, brings Windows inside your vehicle

Microsoft unveiled quite a few new products during the Build 2014 developer conference this week, but one interesting concept aims to bring your Windows device onto your vehicle’s dashboard. The idea is called “Connected Car” and offers a nice Windows interface to your dash.

The idea revolves around bringing your Windows device into the vehicle, which would then project the data from your device onto your vehicles dashboard. This would allow you to control music, GPS, messaging, calls, and much more. While the interface on the dashboard is Windows like, it is not an exact mirror of what’s displayed on your Windows Phone device. Instead, the data from the phone is adapted into the dashboard’s Windows-like layout.

Again, keep in mind that this idea is just a concept from Microsoft. Would you like the ability to connect your Windows Phone or Windows device onto your vehicle’s dashboard? Sound off in the comments below!
