The Microsoft Research team never fail to impress when they show off some of their projects that they are currently working on. This time is no different, today the company has released information and a video demonstrating Star-Wars like holographic tech. The future is on it’s way!
The new video demonstrates a perfect example of what a holographic 3D display could look like, how it works and what you could do with it. It’s very similar to that in Star Wars and Star Trek. The Microsoft Research team have brought what he thought was impossible, to life.
The technology is titled Vameer, it works by using a light field projector that can create a fully 3D image which can be viewed from any angle. You can also touch the holographic image, which can actually react to being touched.
