Microsoft is showcasing eight different ways to search on Windows 8, using Bing of course. In a new blog post, Microsoft is showcasing the Bing app for Windows 8 and how it utilizes hardware acceleration and touch. If you haven’t given the Bing app a try yet, check out this post after the break.

“First off, we completely reimagined search for Windows 8 so searching with the Bing app is fast and fluid, whether you use a touch device to tap and swipe or type and click with a keyboard and mouse. The first thing you’ll notice is that visual results and images take center stage letting you quickly find what you’re looking for,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post. The Bing app utilizes hardware acceleration and touch in Windows 8. Elements used in the Bing app such as auto-suggest and search are designed for touch gestures such as tap or swipe. Users can also swipe through results with their finger to scan through the continuous list of search results.
