Microsoft Sends Us The First Of Its 12 Days Of Deals 2015, HP Pavilion X360 For $499 – onmsft.com

Every year, the Microsoft Store gets into the holidays spirit and offers up a “12 Days of Deals” promotion. Just like the popular song “12 Days of Christmas,” each day brings a new deal that’s good for that day only. As the Microsoft Blog points out, the deals run every day from December 1 (that’s today) through December 12, starting at 3pm ET.
On the first day of its deals, Microsoft sends to us, a Signature Edition HP Pavilion x360 13-s192nr for $499 ($150 off). This is a nicely-spec’d wraparound convertible with a 13.3″ HD touchscreen, an Intel Core i5-6200U processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB HDD.
Other than the slower-than-SSD spinning disk, this sounds like a plenty swift machine that would be great for a student or anyone else who doesn’t need the absolutely most powerful machine. And, as a Signature Edition, it’s free of any added crud and should enjoy optimized performance.

Tomorrow’s Day 2 deal is $150 off of a 15.6″ Lenovo Ideapad 100, at $199:

The 12 Days of Deals offers can be grabbed in retail stores or online. The deals typically leak early, as such deals usually do, and we’ll let you know if and when they’re available. For now, you’ll just have to play along.
