Microsoft promises that in the coming months, audio and video calling powered by Skype will be available in every Outlook.com inbox. “By adding Skype conversations to your modern email, Microsoft is creating yet another way for you to connect to the people you care about most,” Microsoft stated.

\

In order to get Skype to work on your Outlook.com inbox, you will be required to download a plugin for your internet browser, which is available for the latest builds of Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox. Afterwards, simply connect Skype to Outlook.com via your Microsoft Account. If you already have a Skype account, you can easily set up Outlook.com integration.

\

Microsoft is looking to bring together two means of communication experiences so users can stay in touch anytime anywhere. For those that didnt know, in just six months of its launch, Outlook.com gained 60 million users making it the fastest growing email service in history.
