Microsoft reveals the new Games with Gold for June 2021

Microsoft has shared all the details about the June Games with Gold today, which probably won’t trigger major FOMO for Xbox gamers paying more attention to Xbox Game Pass announcements. The first Games with Gold for the month of June are the platformer The King’s Bird and the Xbox 360 fighting game NeoGeo Battle Coliseum, and both of them will be free to grab on June 1.

Two other games will follow on June 16 with Shadows: Awakening and the Xbox 360 fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. In case you’re wondering, these four games represent $80 in value and 3200 in Gamerscore, and you can watch a quick overview of the June Games with Gold lineup below.

With Microsoft making great investments to make its Xbox Game Pass game subscription more attractive for Xbox and PC gamers, it’s clear that the monthly free Games with Gold for Xbox Live Gold subscribers have been become a collateral damage. With Microsoft recently dropping the Xbox Live Gold requirement for free-to-play games on Xbox, maybe it’s time for the Xbox team to reboot its Xbox Live Gold offering that is becoming less and less relevant as Xbox Game Pass continues to grow.
