Microsoft releases Windows SDK for Facebook, works with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10

Microsoft has released an open source software development kit to help developers integrate Facebook into Windows apps. The SDK works for Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1, and Windows 10 apps. The Windows blog outlines the potential uses of the SDK and also helps developers use it. It points out that with this SDK developers can create universal apps that include “Facebook authorization, Like, Graph, and other Facebook functionality.”

With a massive user base, Facebook helps apps have a familiar face to users. It also provides features that many apps utilize. In the post they break down a few coding samples such as “how to do a login.”

Open source SDKs help developers and make it easier to integrate their apps with popular services and social networking sites such as Facebook. The SDK is available on GitHub from the download link below.
