Microsoft releases Windows Intune with Mobile Device Management

Microsoft has made available a new version of Windows Intune that now includes expanded management and security features for those wishing to manage via a mobile device. This new version of Windows Intune also comes with people-centric management features.

“The newest version of Windows Intune includes expanded management and security benefits through mobile device management and adds people-centric management capabilities. Windows Intune also includes upgrade rights to the latest version of Windows, giving you access to Windows 7 now and Windows 8 when it becomes available,” Microsoft announced in an official blog post. This new version of Intune allows businesses to set security policies for mobile devices and enforce password protection and even wipe a device if it becomes compromised. This new version of Intune also has the ability to manage user accounts with accounts created in the Windows Azure Active Directory.
