Microsoft releases Windows Embedded 8 Standard Release Preview to Connect users

Microsoft have today released the Windows Embedded 8 Standard Release Preview, which is said to be a replica of what the final product will look like. The download was pushed to Connect users today, and is available for testing right now!

“Windows Embedded 8 Standard enables OEMs and Enterprises to create embedded devices that can use all of the powerful features that are available in Windows 8.” States the email sent to connect users.

Some of the Release Preview’s specific highlights include Online Activation as well as USB Filters. Those who download this Release Preview are expected to submit feedback to Microsoft.
