Microsoft has released new builds for both the Dev Channel (23511) and Canary Channel (25915) today. Let’s take a look at the Dev Channel build:
Build 23511 gets one new featured update in the form of more improvements to Windows Spotlight, the customized Windows desktop theme:
we’re now rolling out a single Windows Spotlight experience for Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel that includes previewing images at full screen, multiple opportunities to learn more about each image and a minimized experience.
This build also comes with a number of changes, improvements, fixes and known issues, including a temporary removal of Windows Copilot for Insiders logged in to an AAD (soon to be Entra ID) account, but it’s coming back, and will soon be on by default, including support for Bing Chat for Enterprise. AAD accounts will also notice a new preview experience when hovering over documents included in Recommended in the Start Menu.
Notifications on the taskbar will now be shown as a bell ????, either colored (new notifications) or empty (no notifications). There will no longer be notifications counts shown on the taskbar.
A number of bugs have been fixed in Snap Layouts, and a new option under Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Phone link will allow you to disable Phone Link “all together” in Windows 11.
There are lots more details, be sure to check them out in the Windows Insider blog post!
