Microsoft releases Windows 11 Insider build 22000.2479 to the Release Preview Channel

Along with updates to Windows Photos, Snipping Tool, and Phone Link, Microsoft has also released a new build today for Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel for Windows 11 (orginal release). Also released was a new build for Windows 11 22H2 in the Release Preview Channel This new build comes in at 22000.2479 and includes one new change and a number of improvements:

  • New! This update completes the work to comply with the GB18030-2022 requirements. It removes and remaps characters for Microsoft Wubi input and Microsoft Pinyin U-mode input. You can no longer enter character codepoints that are not supported. All the required codepoints are up to date.

Also updated are Daylight Savings time changes in Greenland, the spelling of Kyiv, issues affecting sharing an Excel file as a PDF in Outlook, forwarding of events, Defender stopping some USB printers from printing, and more. You can check out the Windows Insider blog post for all the details
