Microsoft releases updated Windows 8 News, Finance, Weather, Sports, and Travel apps

Microsoft has released updated Windows 8 News, Finance, and Travel apps for Windows 8 and Windows RT. You can head over to the Windows Store to update your apps. These updates add some new functionality to the apps, as well as performance improvements.

Microsoft has updated the News app to feature stories from new content partners, as well as performance improvements. Microsoft has also improved keyboard/mouse interaction with the News app. The Finance app now features additional sources as well as more stock exchanges and navigation improvements. The Sports app has also been updated to feature newer pro soccer leagues. The Travel app now comes with reviews and ratings from TripAdvisor as well as the ability to save flight and hotel searches. The Weather app has also been updated and it features forcases for 10 days, hour by hour, and sunrise/sunset times. The Weather app will also showcase historical weather information. All these apps also feature performance improvements. Head over to the Windows Store and update these apps if you have them installed.
