Microsoft has rolled out a new version of the Skype software for Windows. Not to be confused with the Skype app for Windows, this update pertains to the desktop version of Skype for Windows.
“Today we have released version 6.13 of Skype for Windows desktop. Some of you have reported that your computer processor usage is high when Skype for Windows desktop is running with Chrome as your default browser. We’d like to let you know that we have identified and fixed the issues with this update,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
Aside from the Chrome issue, Microsoft has also addressed a few other bugs, as well as improved stability during both group video call and in High DPI mode. You can hit the download link below to snag the updated software, which is free.
