Microsoft releases over 30 optional updates for Windows, available to download now

We reported earlier today that Microsoft was preparing to release over 30 new updates for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows Server, and Windows RT. The updates are now available for download via Windows Update. A rare event considering it isn’t the second Tuesday of the month.

All the updates are categorized as “non-security” updates, hence the reason they are marked as ‘optional’ instead of ‘important’ or ‘critical’. They are likely to fix minor issues and bugs. We still recommend you install them to keep your system up-to-date.

Head over to Windows Update and check for updates now. Or rather, once you’re done for the night as the updates aren’t important and require a restart. Head over to the Microsoft source link below to read about all the updates in a little more detail.
