Microsoft releases Gold Shadow Special Edition Xbox controller

David Allen

The Gold Shadow Special Edition wireless Xbox controller is making its debut today. The controller pays homage to the Xbox One fan favorite Shadow series designs. The new controller sports a shiny gold-to-black metallic finish on the top case while the rest of the controller and D-pad are done in carbon black.

This elegant controller comes with all the key features players love for current-generation consoles.  The metallic gold hybrid D-Pad provides a silky smooth touch for your thumb.  The rubberized black diamond patterned side grips provide extra support during those high-pressure gaming moments. The controller features both Xbox wireless and Bluetooth radios to allow for connecting to all of your devices with up to 40 hours of battery life. Flanked by the 3.5mm headphone jack you won’t be left out of the chatter with your friends. You can also use the Xbox accessories app to remap any of the buttons and create custom profiles for full control.

The Xbox Wireless Controller – Gold Shadow Special Edition is available for preorder today for $69.99 USD, and available on October 17th.  You can visit Xbox.com for more information.
