Microsoft registers multiple domains with the name ‘Xbox Fusion’

Microsoft has apparently registered multiple domain names with the words “Xbox Fusion.” Aside from XboxFusion.com, Microsoft has snagged XboxFusion.de, XboxFusion.info, XboxFusion.biz, XboxFusion.co.uk and more. Could this be the name of the next gen console?

Having “fusion” in its name makes perfect sense to us, since Microsoft has been working hard to ‘fuse’ together all sorts of entertainment experiences into one entertainment console. The new Xbox is rumored to feature the ability to utilize your TV cable box, similar to what Google does with its Google TV service. This new Xbox is part of Microsoft’s effort in providing a single entertainment and media service source.

The Xbox team is planning on announcing the next generation Xbox console on May 21st. After that, Microsoft is expected to completely reveal its plans for the next generation Xbox on the eve of the E3 entertainment expo in early June 2013. The new Xbox is rumored to feature a Blu-ray drive and a new Kinect alongside the Xbox console.
