Microsoft readies up the Consumer Preview, download available tomorrow

A new report is suggesting that the Windows 8 Consumer Preview is now ready to launch. Currently sitting at build 8250, the OS is reported to have received many changed to the desktop, start screen and general core to the OS. Tomorrow will see the day where you can test out Microsofts latest doings!

According to the report, Microsoft has readied up the Consumer Preview at build 8250.0.WINMAIN_WIN8BETA.120217-1520, which was compiled on the 17th of February 2012 at 3:20PM, which makes this build around a week old. The build is expected to include many changes to the start screen, desktop and core features.

The build includes the new Windows 8 logo with customization options, as well as a couple of changes to the taskbar on the desktop. The build also includes minor changes to the installer.

Although the beta is now officially ready, the company continue to work on the operating system for its next milestone, the RC. Currently, Microsoft is at build 8288, which was compiled on the 23rd of this month.

Microsoft is expected to launch the Windows 8 Consumer Preview tomorrow at the Mobile World Congress. The download is expected to be available at around 2PM GMT time.
