If you’re sporting a Surface device, you might want to head to Windows Update now for some surprises. According to some tweets from multiple Microsoft watchers, the company is now pushing out a series of firmware and driver updates for Surface devices running the Windows 10 April 2018 Update.

Judging from Tom Warren, it looks as though there are multiple new Intel drivers, and also a Surface system Firmware update now out for the Surface Book 2. A subsequent reply from our own Abhishek Baxi also shows that the same updates rolled out to the Surface Pro last night. And another reply from tech writer Simon Bisson shows that the same updates were on the Surface Laptop as well.
And my Surface Pro last night!

As usual, Microsoft has not yet updated the Surface Laptop, Surface Book 2, or Surface Pro pages to document these changes. It also looks as though that the update might cause an issue with BitLocker, though that could just be an isolated incident. Anyway, we will be keeping an eye out for any changelogs, and will update you accordingly.
