Microsoft preps IT workers to carry on post XP’s termination by releasing Windows 8.1 User Readiness Toolkit

As we inch closer to Windows XP’s end of support deadline, Microsoft is taking measures to get XP users to switch to the new operating system, Windows 8.1. In another recent attempt, the software giant has released Windows 8.1 User Readiness Toolkit, a package containing videos, guides, and other relevant material for IT administrators, to help them make the other staff aware of Windows XP’s demise.

Inside the 575MB zip file, users can find several guides to understand how to make the big switch, along with tip sheets to understand how various things on Windows 8.1 work. In addition, for IT administrators, there are also high resolution images that can be printed out as flyers and posters which could be posted around the workplace. Also, they can make use of email templates to help other users out. Inside the zip file, you will also find videos and other slides that will help customers adapt to the new operating system.

Microsoft had previously released ‘Windows 8.1 Quick Guide for Business’ and ‘Windows 8.1 Power Guide for Business’ in order to help users switch to the OS. The 13-year old operating system, Windows XP, is set to go out of support on April 8th. You can snag the Windows 8.1 User Readiness Toolkit from the download link below.
