The iOS version of the Microsoft Power BI app updated today to Version 20.4. This latest update introduces a slight revamp of the filters feature, which are now easier to see and use, and also adds support for the scanning of QR codes and traditional barcodes to perform specific tasks.

Here’s the full release notes:

  • Scan barcodes to filter your reports, or use QR codes to quickly open a report, right from your iPad.
  • Filters in the Power BI app have new functionality and a new design. This includes improved visibility of applied filters affecting report visuals and the capability to lock and even hide filters. These changes also provide better compatibility with filtering in Power BI service.

The iOS Microsoft Power BI updates on an almost monthly basis for iPhone and iPad users. Its previous update added multi-select functionality and the ability to dock the footer.
