Microsoft Paint, the iconic drawing program that has been a part of the Windows operating system for decades, is about to get an exciting new update. With the debut of the Paint Cocreator feature, Microsoft is bringing generative AI powers to the software, making it easier for users to create stunning AI art.

Users will find a new “Cocreator” button on the toolbar, and upon clicking it, a sidebar will open to the right. In this sidebar, users can input a text prompt and select a style, and Cocreator will swiftly generate an image for users to edit, PC World reported.

The catch

Accessing the Cocreator feature comes with a catch. You’ll need to download the latest Windows 11 22H2 update first. Additionally, you’ll have to wait a few weeks until the updated Paint app becomes available.
