Microsoft opens 10 new specialty stores in march, offers surface, dell venue 8 pro deals

Microsoft is spreading its retail stores across the US with the month of May seeing the opening of 10 new specialty stores. Yesterday, four stores opened in Park Place, Tucson, AZ; Jordan Creek Town Center, Des Moines, IA; Ross Park Mall, Pittsburgh, PA; and Fayette Mall, Lexington, KY, and there are more on the cards.

We originally brought this story to you on the 6th of May, but Microsoft has just officially confirmed the new locations in an email to WinBeta. The new specialty stores offer a special selection of Microsoft products such as Surface, Xbox, Windows 8 PCs and Windows Phones.

At the store openings, attendees were able to pick up a bargain — a 32GB Surface was reduced $199 and the Dell Venue 8 Pro 32GB to just $99. But if you didn’t manage to make it to any of the first four launches, don’t worry — there are still another six for you.

The remaining openings this month are:

  • May 15 — Microsoft at FlatIron Crossing, Broomfield, CO
  • May 15 — Westroads Mall, Omaha, NE
  • May 15 — West Town Mall, Knoxville, TN
  • May 17 — The Maine Mall, S Portland, ME
  • May 17 — Boise Towne Square, Boise, ID
  • May 20 — Cherry Hill Mall, Cherry Hill, NJ

Will you be heading to any of the grand openings? And if so, will you be picking up a Surface or Dell Venue 8 Pro? Discounts are limited to one per customer and supplies are limited, so if you’re interested you’ll have to make sure you get there early!
