Microsoft Reportedly Planning To Launch An Online Store In India In The Coming Months – onmsft.com

Microsoft

Microsoft operates online stores in several developed markets across the globe, offerings users both hardware and software products. However, the case is not the same for India, customers can only purchase software from the international website. It appears things may change in the near future as Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch its online store in India as early as next month, reports Times of India quoting a person who is working on the project.

A person with knowledge about the plans of the software giant said,

“They wanted to launch microsoftstore.in before Diwali but that is not going to happen. It will open up towards the end of November and will offer all the products of the company.”

India is one of the biggest markets in the world with demand for Microsoft’s products. Since the online ecosystem is becoming popular, it makes sense for Microsoft to operate an e-commerce website in the region where they can offer their products such as Windows Phones, Windows tablets, and more via an online portal.

As always, Microsoft didn’t confirm or deny the rumor and said, “We do not have anything to share at this stage.”
