Microsoft: More than 12 million downloads of Office for iPad

Microsoft has revealed today that there have been over 12 million downloads of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote for the iPad. In fact, the company just recently released Office for iPad, which included Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This figure proves that Microsoft’s Office for iPad has been a huge hit. While it does prove that there have been a large amount of downloads (more than 12 million!), it doesn’t account for the number of subscriptions purchased. Microsoft requires an Office 365 subscription to create and edit Word, Excel, or PowerPoint documents on the iPad.

Either way, 12 million is an impressive number to be bragging about in such a short amount of time since the apps were made available. Are you one of the 12 million who downloaded Office for iPad?
