Microsoft makes Gigjam work-sharing app generally available on Windows, Mac, and iOS

A month ago, we covered the news that Gig Jam was opening up the invitation process for its preview. At the time, access to the app was being given to anybody who had signed up for the preview beforehand. If you still didn’t end up getting access to the preview afterwards, you’re now in luck – GigJam’s preview is now open to everybody on Windows PCs, Mac, and iOS devices regardless of whether or not you’ve received an invite.

GigJam allows users to share some of your work with business partners, collaborating on documents in a way that lets you hide select portions of sensitive information and add information that might be pertinent. For people who have been looking for a new way to open up collaboration with people, GigJam seems like it’s going to be a valuable addition to the Office roster of apps.

While the app is still technically in its preview right now (full release is targeted for later this year) it’s ready to go for the people who are ready to deal with a few bugs. The app runs on Windows 8.X PCs and above, OS X, and iOS (link below). An Android version is in the works, and there’s no news on a Universal Windows App version.

The app was not found in the store. 🙁
