Microsoft listens to Xbox fans, backtracks on Xbox Game Pass Quest points values

Yesterday, we reported that Microsoft harshly degraded the points values of Xbox Game Pass quests, causing many Xbox fans (like myself) to become upset. A short 24 hours later, Microsoft has responded to the complaints of Xbox fans and has backtracked by increasing Game Pass Quests points values, although they’re still lower than the original values.

Although daily quests for logging into the Game Pass app on Mobile and playing Xbox Game Pass games are now still at 5 points, other quests that involve spending more time playing games have now increased. The value of weekly-game-specific quests has now gone up from 20 points to 50 points, and monthly-game specific quests are now valued at 75 points instead of 20 points. As the folks at True Achievements point out, that’s now a gain of 405 to 1635 points.

Other points values still remain the same and are still reduced. For instance, the bonus for earning achievements in Game Pass titles is still 10 points vs the original 50 or 25 points. Completing Adventurer, Apprentice and On the Go Quests also still remains 25 points vs the original 50.

Either way, it’s great to see that Microsoft has listened to the feedback of gamers. Do you like the new points values? Let us know in the comments below.
