Mixer Create on iOS

Microsoft today has launched a new app on iOS and Android called, Mixer Create. The app is designed as a partner app to the main Mixer app and currently allows for users to broadcast live streams of themselves to their Mixer audience in a similar way to how live broadcasts work on Facebook and Instagram. In the near future, the apps will update to enable live streaming of mobile phone games.

“The ability to broadcast gameplay on-the-go opens up entirely new social gaming possibilities,” the official announcement says. “In the future, you could imagine streaming ‘Pokemon Go’ on your mobile device, through Mixer, and hunting with viewers! Once mobile gameplay streaming launches, you’ll be able to join a co-stream with friends who are broadcasting on PC, console or other mobile devices.”

Mixer Create is currently available publically on Android in beta and on iOS through Apple’s TestFlight service by invite only. No plans for the app on Microsoft’s own Windows phone have been announced. Are you interested in this app? Let us know if you would use it in the comments below.
