Microsoft launches Android-powered Nokia X2 in India for Rs 8,699

\

Microsoft has finally launched the Nokia X2 handset in India. The Android-powered Nokia X2 has been priced at June 8,699 ($140), and can be purchased through Nokia stores as well as Flipkart among other e-retailers.

\

Announced in June, Nokia X2 is the successor to Nokia X family — Nokia X, X+, and XL. The handset is based on Android Open Source Project but lacks Google Mobile Services. Microsoft recently seeded an update to the handset which brings Gmail email client to the Nokia X2.

\

The Nokia X2 sports a 4.3-inch screen with 480 x 800 screen resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. An 1,800 mAh battery is powering the smartphone. The handset sports a 5MP camera with flash and auto focus, and there is a front facing VGA camera as well.

\

”The enhancements on the Nokia X2 lead to a richer, faster and easier experience designed to introduce the ‘next billion’ people to the mobile Internet and cloud services,” Nokia India Sales (a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile Oy) Head Mobile Phones Sari Harju said.
