On Monday, 14,000 Microsoft employees from over 72 countries around the world opened up the first day of the annual //oneweek festivities, including a Hackathon.
Complete with thunder sticks, capes, and sunglasses, the employees all came together at the event to see and demo the latest Microsoft products, ask questions about what’s coming in the next fiscal year, volunteer in their communities and celebrate their accomplishments. In an official post about the event, Microsoft notes that there are more than 3,200 registered Hackathon projects, and employees hack everything Microsoft, from bots, to HoloLens, and more. It is also noted that the employees focus on cognitive services, accessibility, and inclusive design while at the event.
This is the third annual //oneweek gathering. The event first started back in 2013 , and is centered on helping Microsoft employees become aware of the company’s ambitions. We would love to hear your thoughts on //oneweek, so be sure to drop us a comment below!
