Lumia 1520

Microsoft has issued the first post-RTM update for Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 (8.1.1). This update is rolling out for users who are registered in the Preview for Developers. This new update is said to fix issues with some users being unable to download Windows Phone 8.1 update, and includes a number of other bug-fixes and enhancements for those already running Update 1. For those keeping track, the new build reads 8.10.14176.

You can check for updates by navigating to the Settings app > Phone update > check for updates. The update is rolling out in waves so if you’re yet to receive the notification to download the update, check back in a little bit. Microsoft says this update includes a fix for HTC 8X and 8S devices, which means those devices can now officially install Update 1. Microsoft also states Lumia Cyan has started rolling out for Preview for Developer users too.

Let us know if you spot anything new in this update. We assume this update includes mostly under-the-hood enhancements, but you never know. We’ll update this post accordingly if this update includes any new features or abilities.
